Chapter 4
Creating your first AI agent
· Published by Osentio
Creating an agent goes through four screens: enter your website URL, confirm the training sources, set the appearance, and set the personality. The whole process takes a few minutes.
Screen 1: Website URL and agent type

- Click Create New Agent on the left.
- Enter your site's address in Your Website URL 1. Osentio finds the pages of the site and uses them as knowledge sources.
- Choose a purpose in Agent Type 2, for example Customer Support Agent or Sales Agent. The type sets the agent's default way of answering and can be changed later.
- Click Continue 3 and wait while the logo and links are fetched.
TipIf you have no website, or want to train with documents and Q&A only, click Set Up Manually with Other Sources 4 to skip the website step.
Screen 2: Confirm the training sources

- Sources 1 on the left shows the links that were found and the space used so far.
- If you like, click a row on the right 2 to add files, text or Q&A (see chapter 5). You can also add them later.
- Click Train & continue 3. This uses one training.
Screen 3: Agent's UI

- Enter the Agent Name 1. This is the name customers see in the chat window.
- Choose a light or dark appearance and set the Primary Color 2 to match your brand.
- Optionally upload a picture for the agent 3 (JPG, PNG, SVG or WebP, up to 200 KB).
- Click Looks Good 4.
Screen 4: Agent's personality

- Choose an AI model under Model 1.
- Choose a template under Instructions 2; the matching instruction text appears below 3. Instructions define the agent's role, tone and what it may answer. You can edit the text freely.
- Click Confirm Settings 4 to finish. The test page opens.
Waiting for the knowledge base

Right after an agent is created or retrained, the page shows “Knowledge base is updating”. Training usually takes a few minutes. You can leave the page and come back later to test.
